visit to Nanny's

most of you know my nanny or have at least heard of her. she was my babysitter when i was growing up... pretty much everyday my parents would drop me off on their way to work and i would spend the day with her.. from 6 weeks old until i was about 10 years old i would go their everyday. i remember breakfast that consisted of biscuits and syrup and butter from pappy and then nanny would make me mac and cheese and a soda pop when i would get off the bus from school. in 2001 my pappy passed away and unfortunately fell out of touch with my nanny. well today Case and I decided it would be nice to make a trip out to see her.. she loved it and we enjoyed it just as much. we promised to make it a frequent trip and she said good because she couldnt wait to hold on to my little casen joe again....i was glad to see her..

ok i have been a huge slacker i know so here's a summarized post of most recent happenings and then i will continue to update continuously so everyone can see...

On Saturday August: 22nd i began having major pains in my stomach. The pain came and went continuously throughout the day. I called Brandon home from his manly project at mikeys house and told him we had to go to the hospital now! the contractions were around 4 minutes apart and heavy. We came, we saw, we left. At only two centimeters dialted, I was not moving at a fast enough rate to keep me there. I was irate, in pain, and knew it would only be hours before I was back. They gave me some pain medicine but at eleven o'clock that night i was in too much pain for any drugs. I spent hours in the bath tub crying until at 7:30 that morning i woke brandon up to take me back. I was supposed to be induced on the following day so i was hoping they would just go ahead and spare me 24 hours. After i got settled in to my room, the nurse came in and notified me I was 5 centimeters dialated and ready for my epidural whenever i was.. before the contractions started i was determined to have a natural labor.hahahahaha i praise the people who have a natural birth!!!!! Anway at 10:30 i had the epidural....at 6:48, after two hours of pushing, My beautiful baby boy entered this world....7 pounds 4 ounces 21 inches long.

He's as stubborn as his daddy!!!!

So much has happened in the past two weeks!

Last week's check up went the exact same as the previos.. still 70 percent 1/2 centimeter dialated. On Sunday night Brandon and I made the quick trip to his parents house and returned home to start clearing out Case's room for furniture due on Monday. I started have contractions during this time and they were very consistent, happening every six minutes. I was in no rush to go to the hospital so Brandon and I counted contractions for four straight hours happening every six minutes. Finally at 11:00 they started in at around 4 minute intervals, so we headed to the hospital. They kept me on monitors until 3Oclock that morning and even though my contractions had become more painful, happening between 2 and 3 minutes, THEY SENT ME HOME....i was furious. What other signs do you need???? Well I had not dialated any AT ALL. So we went home where I still continued to have contractions until 10:00 oClock the next morning. I have lost my "plug" and went back for another check up to make sure everything was ok. I am now at a whopping 1 and half centimeters still nothing else has changed. They stripped my membranes yesterday which is kind of like a procedure to "soften" the spot to set contractions consistently and have more of a chance for my water to break. So that's been 16 hours ago and no signs yet other than painful cramps every 20 minutes!!!

Brandon and my mother both say I have no control because everytime I see know progress, I just cry. My father says he hopes I hurry because he is in pain for me. Brandons mom says all signs point to Thursday: full moon, and my doctor is on call, and something else. But I doubt it..
Oh the biggest info is that the doc says Case is so big she thinks we need to induce so on Monday the 24th if Case has not arrived too bad we are taking him out to meet his family... I will be admitted on Monday around 4:30pm and will go from there :) But pray he comes earlier, I know in my heart he is ready he is just being stubborn like everyone else in his family!

Weekly Update: 8/7/09 awaiting Case's arrival...

I had my weekly doctor appointment on Wednesday of this week. I was 70% effaced (sp.) and 1/2 centimeter dialted. My belly is dropping and I sware I pee an average of 20 times a day. The back pain has not subsided nor has the swelling. Even my doctor suggested support hose during my busy days at work because my blood pressure had increase from the swelling. I doubt I do because I already gripe too much from the heat. My term starts tomorrow so I am free to have Case from now until 3 weeks from tomorrow. I am betting on August 15, 2009. OThers have taken bets too.. one girl bet today and I am praying not quite yet, while Brandon's aunt says she thinks I still have three weeks. I am praying that doesnt happen either I am extremely miserable and ready for little booger to be out!!!!!!!!!

My shower this weekend went well. A lot of people came and I thank everyone for coming. I got so many gifts and lots of useful things. As for my mama who couldnt make it, she is doing better now. Still coughing some, but doesnt seem to be running fever. She is planning to come help me this weekend put all Case's goodies away so she can see everything.

I have already washed all his blankets, towels, ect and put them away. The swing is put up and sits next to our couch in the living room. The pack n play is ready, all the bottles are washed. Our house is becoming BABY ready and it is getting a little crazy. :) ANd our baby furniture should be in my next weekend. I hope!!!! Kara was going to come take our maternity pictures but I keep having to reschedule. I am hoping I can get her to come this weekend unless something else comes up (SORRY KARA .) I have all the pictures to put uo, i will try to get them up soon!

Much Needed update:

I have so many things to update you on. I am sorry it is late for all you addicted readers.

Baby Case - Case is now almost 36 weeks old. He is as healthy as a worm and head down ready to come face the world. I can feel his movements constantly and what I thought was a head was his cute little toosh. He is extremely active except sundays. He must be just like his father. His room is slowly getting there. We still have much to do. I will update you with pictures soon.

As for me - I am growing by the minute. Nothing fits but stretchy pants, I am full of fluid that makes my legs and face swell like a giant toad. My bladder is the size of a needle stick and it never is cool enough for me. The back pain is terrible and Brandon says I sleep like im rising up from my coffin. My work is throwing me a baby shower tomorrow and I am excited to start gathering things that I actually need. Last night, Brandon and I sorted through his bags and I put his first three bottles in the cabinet and two passies in our kitchen drawer. It was like "wow" in a few weeks this is all going to be so real. Then on saturday, my family/friend shower will be held at Seven Mile Ranch and I am super excited to see my family. They will be in shock to see how much I have grown. I am super anxious I just dont think I am going to make it until August 29th. My co-workers are taking bets, and one girl says she bets I go next week. I hope not quite next week but soon after.

As for Brandon - Brandon is still going strong at his job. He also enjoys his free time so he can spend it with his second girlfriend Mikey working on their trucks, which helps me with my studying time. Incase you didn't know Brandon and I got a house. It is in troup, it is super cute and fits us perfect. (ill post pics) If I could finish decorating it the way I want it for free it would be even better. Every day I am off, I take a trip to Ross, Marshall, and Hobby Lobby! Brandon says our table runner looks like a bunch of ramen noodles. He has no appreciation for good taste. He has given up on helping pick out anything because we always disagree. He's never known so many of his choices to be "out of stock" but for some reason they always are ;) He is a great help suprisingly around the house. Sometimes I don't even have to ask. I came home the other day and he was so excited to tell me he had cleaned out the bathtub without me telling him to :) it was cute! I on the other hand might have some decor skills, but my thumb is no greener than an orange.

Other updates: I am now on a weekly recheck with my doctor. She says no dilation yet, but she can tell it will be soon because of how soft something is, I dont understand all that. I am already pre-registered at ETMC for a private room and have my birth plan written up. Its a neat idea. Babycenter.com supplys you with a questionaire to fill out and submit to your doc upon arrival.

doctor appt and more updates..

Well for starters, im sure the doctor and all her nurses are worn out from me. I guess with my first pregnancy, im not used to everything so I call constantly to make sure things are normal when they should be. This past week has been miserable. I have finally entered my third trimester, I am close to 29 weeks, and I feel so much worse than my first trimester ever made me feel. I have been extremely nauseated and a few days ago was unable to hold anything down. I even had to go to my doctor to make sure I was not dehydrated and all of my tests were fine.
I was seen again today for my gestational diabetes testing (which will find out the results in w week) and check to make sure my placenta was well out of the way for me to deliver Case naturally. This was a problem last month but thankfully it has moved completely out of the way so no c-section!!!! :) He is still a chunky but. He was 3.15 pounds hahaha and normal around this time is 2.5 pounds. But im glad he is healthy. If he continues to grow this way he will be a little over 8 pounds. Im not worried though, im ready!!! He looked beautiful up on the screen!!!! My mommy came with me (happy b-day mom) and brandon's mom Tammy (granna) came along to see and make sure everything was good! Brandon will be at the next one, im making him save his vacation days so he can take off with me when Case comes. Because I am already almost 30 weeks my doctor has decided no traveling more than 60-90 miles because of swelling and increase in early pregnancy :( But I would rather be sure he is well ready rather than causing him to come sometime when he is not ready! We are still expecting him sometime late August, which means anywhere within the next 10 weeks. YIKES!! not really! im not nervous at all suprisngly! I was way more nervous about a c section than anything... I mean I know its gonna hurt like * for about 10 hours, and then pain and tenderness for the next 8 weeks, but ill be side tracked with my beautiful little boy it wont even matter! :) just no, there will be no more children for me! one is plenty! :) Im looking forward to my baby shower in august 1st. Yes we still havent sent out invites but be looking for them sometime first of july. Thanks, again for everyone keeping up!!!
